Recommendations for Help Desk Software?

I’m looking for a free/cheap help desk software to monitor and track troubles submitted to our 2 man IT Dept. I’ve tested Spiceworks, but really could not stand the amount of ads there…

Any recommendations? MS/Linux either is fine.
