RedHat 9 Linux and LPD Printing Problem

I have just installed RedHat Linux 9 on six different servers which all must communicate with each other over a DSL/VPN. They seem to be working fine, EXCEPT when it comes to sending simple text printing via LPD.

This seems to be broken in RedHat 9 … It works just fine in RedHat 8.0, but any time I try to send a text file to a “TEXT ONLY PRINTER” I only get garbage with RedHat 9 using LPD printing.

Anyone else experiencing this?
