Regarding Metro Ethernet

I’ve been trying to research this question but I can’t just seem to find a simple answer. would really appreciate some help.

I’ve been trying to understand how this thing works. I currently work at a place that uses this kind of service to get internet and I’ve noticed that each computer in the office has an external ip address. Like if I go to openDNS, it says that the fixed ip address of that computer is the ip address that I’m currently using.

What I’m trying to figure out is if they say that our bandwidth is fixed at 2MBps, then that applies to each computer, right? It’s impossible that we would all be sharing that coz it would be extremely slow. So does that mean that even if we all use our internet at the same time to watch videos like on youtube, for example, that we shouldn’t (at least theoretically) affect each others’ speeds?
