Relocatting to South florida

Currently Im conulting in the D.C. Metro area.
Im also involved in watersports, which help me keep my sanity :).

Ive been job searching in Southern Florida and havent had any good results. My question is am I asking for too much regarding salaryor hourly rate? Whats is exactly a decent salary for the change of state? any suggestions?
