remote access to exchange

by rodier . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

Has anyone run into problems accessing their Exchange server remotely? Either through dial-up or via the Internet?

I have users with Windows98 laptops and Outlook97 who cannot access the Exchange 5.0 server. I attempted a thorough search of Microsoft TechNet. I found some articles about this problem. All Include the following symptoms which match mine:

1. Your Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.
2. You can retry connecting to the server using the network, or work offline and connect using dial-up networking.
3. Network problems are preventing system connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer. Contact your system administrator if this condition persists.
