Remote Desktop Printer prints intermittently

I’ve got a Vista laptop that connects to a Vista PC at the office. I can install the local (laptop) printer on the remote machine just fine and even print test pages.

When I go to print the reports I need it randomly stops working. For instance last weekend, it printed the first report of about 35 pages. The next report I tried to print spit out about 4 pages and just stopped. It wouldn’t print anything else.

I’ve reinstalled drivers and even put in a completely new printer of a newer model and it’s always the same symptoms. The number of pages until it fails changes, but the symptoms are the same.

The last laptop we used worked flawlessly so I’m not sure why this one is giving problems. Any possible solutions?
