remote install software

Hi

Does anybody know of free/opensource software that basicly scans the computers hard rive and registery makes a record then you install some software then rescans it all makes a list of changed files and then creates some kind of install package with these files.

So that I can install the software once then using the startup script have it installed on other work stations.

Like RM application wizard for those of you from the uk education scene.

I know they have a proper name but can think what it is.
