Remove Mispelled Word from MS Word 2000 Dictionary

I have a user with MS Word 2000 on Windows XP service pack 2. She has a word thats mispelled and the system keeps ignoring it. I checked the user dictionary to see if the word was added and it has not been. Is it possible this typo somehow ended up in the master dictionary?
