Removing Preinstalled Office 2007

Is there an easy way to remove the preinstalled Office 2007 software from my laptop. I purchased a licensed version after the trial period ran out, however, it keeps asking me to input the license code for the preinstalled software. I have visited sites and the directions regarding changing the registry, etc. seem very complex for a non-techy. Thanks
