restoring Exchange 5.5

My current Exchange server is a BDC. I need to be able to simulate a complete exchange restore. Knowing that I have to build an NT box as a BDC with the same computer name, organization name, and site name.How can I build a test server that I can restore to without there being a conflict or bringing down my E-mail server? Or is this possible?
