RH 7.2 sound controls

I recently installed RedHat 7.2 as a dual-boot configuration with my Win98 system. The one thing that I can’t figure out is how to control the sound volume. Some of the applications have volume controls in them, but I can’t seem to find a master control anywhere.

In particular, the startup sound when I load KDE is extremely loud compared to the volume from the Win98 startup.

Is there a master volume control anywhere?
