RH6 install problem

I’ve installed RH6 on a low end PC for testing and learning purposes. I formatted the HDD as linux ext2. I launched the autoboot from CD after booting with a win98 bootdisk (it’s all I had). I proceeded through setup (including reformatting and partitioning according to the manual) after waiting about 3.5 hours the PC says install is finished. When it reboots, I get an error that the PC can’t find the HDD. I don’t know how to make a boot disk, and the installation did not prompt me. I’ve tried this process three times with no success. I’m sure that it is installed, but the PC isn’t seeing the installation. Can someone please help me.
