RIS RESTORE BACKUP EXEC

Hi all.
We have to Update one of are RIS server. IT’s a 22 gig proces. We dont what to do it on the WAN.( Take for ever) So we decided to do a backup of the RIS With BackupExec 8.6. And restore on the new server.( both RIS server have REMOTE AGENT INSTALL. The backup was succesful(SIS Volume was taken) but we hit a prob on the restore. The restore told us that it was sucessfull. But The image doesnt work. BINL error when trying to install a PC. We found out it only copy the link and not thefiles. We can use the Microsoft procedur because a not a reintallation that we want to do… it only updating the Images. Does any one succeddfully restore a RIS server on another one??
