I new to this network setup and need a little help in the setting up of mine. I have at present just 2 PC’s and I have them connected together using a 5-port hub by Netgear. The 2 PC’s are running Windows 2000 and Windows ME, 2000 is on a Athlon 1.4with 384Mb RAM and 8oGb HDD, ME is on a P3-450 with 256M RAM and 40Gb HDD. I have an external modem connected to the Win2000 PC but I can’t figure out how to connect to the internet with the WinME PC. I have tried the internet sharing and other bitsof the 2000/ME operating system with out any success but as I am not really sure what bits of the OS do I really didn’t give myself any chance. I thought the best way would to make the Win2000 PC a server and router so that I could access the modem that way but I don’t know where to start, or what is required. I have surfed around and around places like CNET etc and looked in the news groups but no help yet can any one here help my cause.
