Run As Command

by gpeters . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

We are currently beginning to rollout windows 2000 professional on the desktops of our companies PC’s. While doing some research I came across the “Run As” command as a means of running applications with different logon privaleges.

My questions is, if you use the “Run As” command to sign on with Administrator rights, do you then open the PC and Network up for security issues?

The command sounds very useful, but the reason you do not sign on as an administrator is so that some virus or hacker doesn’t wreak complete chaos on your network. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
