Rundll.exe error

Dear Staff: I rencenlty installed XP on my machine, three weeks later I get “Rundll.exe error” and cannot open Word, cannot remove Word, or install any other application. When I try to install an application I get “iemsserver error”, according to what I have read online it seems to be related to “Rundll.exe”. Does anyone know how to correct this without having to remove and reinstall XP?
