Samba Server

Sir,
What is the difference between Samba Server and Samba Client and through both can we View the files of Windows Client. What I will have to the changes in Windows client so that he can view my Linux Machine in His network Neighbourwood and if it will be shown what will it show if have login as a root. Please reply soon.
