samba server does not appear on other os

I have install smb server and configured SWAT and share. I also configured win 98 for tcpip. I gave root / as share with allow access for the win98 client. My workgroup is NTdomain and the wins server is linuxserver but i am unable to see the linux server in the win98 network neighbourhood. Please explain what else to see before confi. swat I also start all the demon process.
