I’m new to Satellite connectivity.
I need some pointers to run Client-Server
Oracle Applications between our main office and
small Branch office which are allocated between 2 different countries using Satellite, in the Main office will be the main Orcale server (UNIX Clustered RAC) alloctaed and Branch office will include 20 terminals,
The clients workstation running Windows2000,
The Application require a min speed of 64Kbps
It would be great if anyone could provide some info regarding
1. What are the Hardware/Software requirments to implement satellite connectivity
2. Security issues as data being transferred requires secure
communication, What is the best way to secure the channel (VPN)?
3. Will the satellite offer an uninterrupted connection
i need it min 4 hours per day
4. any case study how to build the above would be reaaly appreciated
