Saving Office 97 docs to a Novell Vol

Does anyone experience this problem, or have a fix? My user community is well trained to save all Excell, Word, etc. documents to folders on our Novell 4.1
server. However, they are often unable to save the same document back out to the server. Sometimes if they rename it, it works, but sometimes the just aren’t able to save the doc again!!!????
