Scheduled directory synchronization across domains

Is there a way I can run a scheduled task from the Primary Domain Controller of one domain, in which a directory of a server on another domain is synchronized? I had tried to do this with the NET USE command, but apparently this does not work across domains. The Primary Domain Controller is running Windows NT 4.0, and the server to be synchronized is running Windows 2000 Server with Small Business Server 2000.
