Seamonkey email printing

I can no longer print Seamonkey emails. I used to be able to with ALT F/P, but now the two windows, one for the print queue and one for the printer, come up but disappear rapidly – before I can read them, in fact – and nothing gets printed. I can still print web pages from Seamonkey and, indeed, Works and Word things. My investigation of the Seamonkey website shows nothing very clearly relevant. My operating System is Windowss XP and my printer is an Epson C 88 , with Epson’s own software.
