“secret” updates?

I recently saw an article (or blog?) here that stated Microsoft has admitted it does not reveal all the updates it is pushing on you.

I have been searching, googling all manner of word combos but can’t come up with it.

Anyone have a link?

I had it before, but Mandriva gave me a lot of grief on this machine, took 11 tries to get it right. (old laptop) Anyway, one of the times it was a sudden, destructive exit and I lost bookmarks.
