security in windows

by pmbrent . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

I go way back in retail and computers. I can remember a few strange things other than BOB.

I think it was when windows went from Win 98 to win 98 SE. The federal government required a back door into Microsoft for its use. Tax cheaters, crime, porn and many more things. Predator or carnivore something like that. It lead to a movie about a computer going nuts, title slips me but it had Mathew Broadrick I believe playing WAR with the machine.

I have always wondered if it is not this back door that allows all of the hackers to get into Microsoft. if there is one door for the government then it is exploitable by everyone else as well.

Does anyone rememeber this? And could it be why Microsoft is such a incredible security risk for all of us.
