Security Policy

I have been tasked with developing a security policy. I am new to the management side of the house and probably do not even have the training for this so it is a learn as you go thing. I was wondering if a gracious person out there could give me a starting point or even better an example of a security policy covering computer use and systems. Thank you ahead of time.
