Server Heat Alarms

Is anyone aware of some automated way to alarm if a server gets too hot?

We have questionable environmental controls. I’m not sure if an ambient temperature monitor is enough.

What I’d like is something I could plug in or attach to a server that would let me know if the server itself is getting too hot. Optimally it would post an event that could be picked up by a event monitor like OpenView.

Any ideas?
