Set goals

Never study without setting clear, attainable goals or you’ll risk drifting aimlessly.

This is especially true if you’re not enrolled for a course. For example, if you choose your study materials, determine a reasonable study period per day/week with a target finishing date.

As an important further incentive, set a date for the exam (if you intend taking one). Review this date toward the end of your studies, setting a final date – and booking for the exam! There’s nothing like a looming exam date to get you focussed, motivated and committed.
