I have two separate domains that I would like to create a trust for. The trusted domain is on a 192.x.x.x network. The trusting domain (our domain) is on a 10.x.x.x network. We currently have natting set up on our end where we translate the 192 ip address to a 10 ip address. On the 192 domain the are able to ping our internal address and create the trust. however on our end we can ping the natted address of the 192 domain, but we are unable to set up the trust. Is there an issue with the LAn to Lan router connection. We get the message “the name you specified is not a valid domain name” Is there a windows DNS issue or a network issue with NAt or both. On the windows end I have set up another primary zone as well as a conditional forwarder,but neither has worked. I’d appreciate any advice on this
