I realize this is probably elemental to
some, however I have come up against a
“wall” in setting up my parents home
network, and would like some help. Any
advice would be of great assistance.
The problem is this: Computer A has a
DSL internet connection, and Computer B
would like to share this connection.
Current setup is Computer A (2 NIC
cards, Win98, DSL internet connection),
and Computer B (1 NIC card, W2K) Have
tried using a hub to connect and share,
which has allowed filesharing, and
intermittment internet sharing for
Computer B. what is the optimum way to
set this up and configure properly, so
that both computers can share the
internet, and files if necessary? It
has appeared that Computer actually has
to have a browser open even for Computer
B to be able to surf, something that
seems a little illogical to me.
Anyone with any help would be greatly
appreciated!
