Here is what is happening on our network. Several users are having the trouble but not all it seems. When logging into the domain (win2k) they get a message that thier password is incorrect or the account has been locked out. Now they will try several times, maybe 3 or 4 and eventually can log in. It also seems that if I change the workstation name (tried this on win98 WS which it seems to occur on most often, not NT or 2000)the problem goes away for 1 log on. Then comes back. That may not be true everytime but the few times I tried it worked. Problem always comes back though. Can ping the server still. Can ping all other workstations. Just cannot be authenticated on the network for several tries. All the latest servicepacks areloaded on the server and locally. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting this?
