Site problems today

Hi,

I apologize for the recent problems today while trying to read or post on the site. A database problem occurred, and we made sure everything was OK before letting users read and post again.

Unfortunately, many users probably tried to post after the problem started but before we could bring the site down for repair. Due to the nature of the problem, we could not salvage those posts. I apologize for that.

We are taking steps to prevent these kinds of disruptions. Again, I apologize.
