S.M.A.R.T. Error

I am getting an error message when I boot up my system. At boot up it detetcts the keyboard mouse and also all Ide drives disk, Zip and 2 CD’s
Then it shows error
A S.M.A.R.T. error has been detected
Press F2 to continue.

When I press F2 nothing happens. I can’t get the system to boot up.
Any suggestions?
