SMS client install fails on PDC.

Just a brief note to describe the issue. We have 92 Windows NT servers. I have been able to install SMS on all but one server, the PDC. It has SP6a and is current on hotfixes. I have tried all the SMS installation programs. Every time I install it, it shows the client base component status as unavailable. No other components will install. I have tried all fixes I could find on the SMS website. I have edited the registry and removed all SMS files. It still will not install. When I install itusing clicore.exe it shows as available briefly then becomes unavailable. I have looked at the logs, they show no errors. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
