Software in a shared folder?

Hi there!

I recently managed to network a few computers together in my office. There are 4 computers (one is a Mac, rest are WinXP) and we have 1 shared folder.

This is probably a really stupid question (I’m a knob with computers) but is it possible to load software directly into this folder and have it available to all 4 users instead of loading it onto the 4 computers?
