Software Installation

I have a new program that I’m trying to install on my desktop. The problem is that the Software is in DVD format and my desktop does not have a DVD reader. I’m trying to avoid buying an External DVD just to install this already expensive software. I, however have a DVD reader on my laptop. Is there anyway to use it as and external devise to load this program onto my desktop?
