Software Piracy

Do any of the TechRepublic members know of any legal proceedings against a technician employee of a company for software piracy? Please post your replies and I would be interested in caselaws especially. In the normal course of business, employers or owners are responsible. But in terms of federal criminal law any one abetting the theft is also responsible.
