Software Sales

As a Technical Recruiter, now Marketing and Sales Guy, I have been assigned to push the sales of a Project Management Tool. My first concern was to learn the software i.e. the in?s and out?s. After doing so I needed direction?and that is the stagethat I?m struggling with the most. This being my fist sales exposure I am looking for any advice. Can anyone help?
