Solaris 8 executablefile in anydirectory

I had installed an utilities on Solars 8 and is under opt directory.How should I configure on the PATH so I desn’t need to access deep into the opt directory inorder to get the utilities executable file to run.It means I can run the utilities executable file under whaever directory?
