sound configuration

hi,
i have installed red hat limux 6.2 on my pc…
though i have installed it previously n no. of times successfully this time i have got a problem..
while auto configuring the sound …
first it detects the sound card successfully…
but it shows ….
THE USE OF /etc/conf.modules is depreciated.
and to remove it.
MODPROBE:CAN’T LOCATE MODULE SOUND-SLOT-0
then it goes to manual configuration and asks
irq, dma, control i/o etc.
so please somebody sort out this problem.
