I heard recently that a company was taken to court for its spamming, I havent heard any news on the outcome as it was a brief radio report. I do know one thing though Im sick of the amount of spam i get and yes before you ask i dont sign up for third party nut i still get them.
I have been to some sites in the past and unregistered my email but to no avail.
I think there needs to be some action taken in regards to software and security, and accountability, there must be away that we can incorporate the antispam databases to some kind of legal registry.
We also need to take steps in holding e-mail service providers to account for allowing illicit and irratating and unwanted mail.
in turn email providers will become more stringent and more careful about the volume of spam from there domains.
I think this issue has been ignored far too long and its time somthing was done!
