I have a SQL 2000 server that was working great until I installed terminal services remote administration mode. Now, one thing that doesn’t work is enterprise manager. When I try to connect to my server in enterprise manager I get the error message “General OLE error 16386 – make sure SQL server is running and check the SERVER registration properties”. I’ve verified that SQL server is running – I’ve even rebooted the server. I checked the registration properties and the login information isfine. I’m wondering if I can delete the existing registered server and create a new one without messing anything up. Any information would be very much appreciated.
