Staffing question

I?m curious how many IT-type people other companies employ in relation to the number of users they are supporting. I?m feeling like I need more staff but need some comparisons to help justify it. I’m especially interested in smaller companies, sayless than 100 employees or $100M / year in sales. I run my company’s IT department of 1 1/2 people, we support 70 users, both network and telecom. I’m wondering how this compares to others.
