striped volume set died

Hi,
I have a problem. I recently had a 2 hd stripe set go belly up on me. I need to recover the data. I would prefer not to have to send the drives out as it is really expensive. Does anyone know of a simple, or not simple, but actual, way to recover this type of drive set?
