SuSE Linux – Custom profile question

by jdclyde . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

I am loading SuSE Linux Ent, ver 10.

I need to set the profile default, so any new accounts will pull in a command to run our menu.

When they exit the menu, they get logged off, so they never see a command line.

I am seeing for custom settings that go to everyone to make the file /etc/bash.bashrc.local and anything in that gets pulled in at login. That works for some of my uses to define variables, but not for the menu, because obviously I don’t want mine or anyone in my department to automatically get locked into the menu.

With 100 uses, I don’t want to have to add this one at a time either.

All the profile configs that I found so far are all (every shell).

Anyone know where the file that sets the defaults for all new accounts?

Thanks!
