Suse Linux – Getting DSL to Work

I just bought Suse Linux 9.1 Personal Edition and installed it on my computer. However, I can’t figure out how to get my DSL Internet connection to work on it. With RedHat, it just worked automatically, but with Suse it looks like I have to manually do it and everything I tried failed. Is there anyone that can help me figure it out? Thanks.
