Hi,
After a month of back and forth with SONY tech support over various computer problems, they advised me to do a complete system recovery using the F10 key. Everything appears to be running well now, except for my Microsoft Office. It prompts me for a product key, which I have on the bottom of my computer, but when I type it in it declares it as invalid.
I asked someone about this at work, and they told me I was basically out of luck and Sony should have never instructed me to take this course of action without first checking to see if I had actual recovery disks and now consequently, I will also need to buy a whole new Windows Office package.
My question is,
Is there anyway I can restore my product key with Microsoft, as it is still the same computer? If not, does any fault fall on Sony and how would I go about asking them to fix this problem?
