TCO of MS servers

Does MS knows what is TCO? I don’t think so. They nver include the costs of BSOD in formula. It often cost less to reinstall a BSOD crashed server than to try to understand why it crashed. A crash dump analysis cost a lot. Many times, when calling MS about a crash, they ask for cash dump file. In France MS is unable to analyse it and forward to US. Generally, it spend 6/8 months to get “reinstall” answer.
Does MS include in his TCO formula the cost of problems due to DLL conflict when installing many applications.
Whereas today a lot of computers manufacterers speak about server consolidations to reduce TCO, we could ask if consolidation of NT servers is realistic.
I agree to start a new discussion on that subject.
