Technology Alliance Manager

I am an IT Professional and want to apply for a post of Technology Alliance Manager. Before applying, I want to know more about what this position is all about, what does the Tech Alliance Manager suppose to do, etc.

Can anyone give me a brief description of this position? The company that has advertised this position is an authoised Dell dealer and they are also registered suppliers of other IT harware and software. They also do support and maintanance.
