I am sending this brief Request for Assistance and Information (RFA/I) on what are your best >>sources for technical information<<, and who better to ask than the expert members of TechRepublic. I've been looking for >>SOURCES<< of informationwhere I can find top lists for Infrastructure Management solutions, packages, tools and comparisons... for example: Infrastructure Management (HEAT, UniCenter, Remedy, Openview, Tivoli, etc.) Help Desk Desk Side Support (and remote tools) Systems Management Network Management Security Management Asset Management and others... Sources could be publications, research groups, libraries, vendors, anything that is browser based and internet accessible. I'm in need of 2 things... 1) Sources of this both public (free) and the best private one (Gartner, Meta, etc.). NOTE: Some of us may not have the resources/funds to purchase the larger research group membership, and although we want to know your best source, if you know ofothers that aren't too expensive (under $200?) some of us may purchase it ourselves, so please include! For example, we all purchased a TechRepublic subscription, which I'm sure we all find very useful. 2) What terms to search for top lists as I'm getting no where using all the usual search engines and technical sites (but perhaps I'm missing some as per the above public site question). Please list all sites (and if you can include the URL please do so) if possible. I have a personal list of technical sites, magazines, vendors, etc., but I'm sure there are better ones out there or others I have yet to consider.
