TechRepublic.com email format broken?

by secretslies-post . Updated 19 years, 5 months ago

For the past few months, at least, the format of the Web Development Zone newsletter from TechRepublic.com has included the following lines:

Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1

Why Web developers shouldn’t ignore older technologies

———————————–^

(The carat points to the align=center attribute, which is not well-formed.)

This is incredibly lame, that a technical newsletter about standards-based development is emitting broken code.

What does it take to remove that XML processing directive as the first line?

Best regards,

Lester
